Basketball Game Preview: Greenwood Woodmen vs. Triton Central Tigers

Greenwood hasn't had much luck against Triton Central recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Greenwood Woodmen will challenge the Triton Central Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Greenwood lost to Jennings County at home by a 51-32 margin. While losing is never fun, the Woodmen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 329th, while the Panthers are ranked 57th).

Meanwhile, Triton Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. The match between them and New Palestine didn't end well, with Triton Central falling 47-29. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Greenwood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Triton Central, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7.

Things could have been worse for Greenwood, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-40 loss to Triton Central in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Greenwood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
