Basketball Recap: North Salinas Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Salinas last Tuesday, North Salinas came back down to earth. The Vikings were beaten by the South Spartans 83-50 on Thursday.

Angel Lizaola and Andre Lizaola certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Angel went 5-for-6 on his way to 12 points, while Andre posted eight points along with five assists and four steals. Angel is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 67% in the last six games he's played dating back to last season. Jayden Guevara was another key player, putting up six points and three blocks.

North Salinas' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for South, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

North Salinas has already played their next contest, a 61-49 victory against Everett Alvarez on the 5th. As for South, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 57-51 win against Pioneer on the 5th.
