Basketball Game Preview: DePaul College Prep Rams vs. Highland Park Giants

The DePaul College Prep Rams will challenge the Highland Park Giants on Friday.

DePaul College Prep's tournament run continued when they took on Rolling Meadows on Saturday. DePaul College Prep fell just short of Rolling Meadows by a score of 46-43.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Highland Park). They breezed by Niles North to the tune of 58-25 last Friday. Given the Giants' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Vikings are ranked 446th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Highland Park pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points per game. As for DePaul College Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
