Triangle Math & Science skates past River Mill with ease

Recap: Triangle Math & Science Tigers vs. River Mill Jaguars

The Triangle Math & Science Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 23 points or more this season. They took their match on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 52-22 win over River Mill. Given Triangle Math & Science's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th, while River Mill is ranked 579th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Triangle Math & Science's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Samrita Sriram, who scored 23 points along with seven steals. The match was Sriram's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Leanna Nohs, who scored 17 points.

The win makes it two in a row for Triangle Math & Science and bumps their season record up to 8-5. As for River Mill, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Triangle Math & Science will take on Chatham Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chatham Charter is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for River Mill, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Clover Garden School at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th.
