Baseball Game Preview: Bourbon War Hawks vs. Grandview Eagles

Bourbon is 0-3 against Grandview since April of 2018 but things could change on Monday. The War Hawks will be playing at home against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Bourbon made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Valley, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The War Hawks fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the War Hawks have suffered since April 7, 2025.

Meanwhile, Grandview lost 28-2 to Herculaneum on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Black Cats: they've now lost five in a row.

Grandview saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Brooks, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Bobby Gregory also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Grandview's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Bourbon, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
