West Iredell hadn't done well against Foard recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Warriors came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers, sneaking past 4-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-4 last Monday.

The team relied heavily on Xavierous Glaspy, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February.

West Iredell's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-10. As for Foard, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Iredell will take on East Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Foard, they will take on Newton-Conover in a tournament on Monday.
