The Seymour Eagles will face off against the A.C. Reynolds Rockets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Seymour is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Seymour challenged Fulton on Tuesday. The Eagles came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 7-2. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won four in a row.

Drew Childress made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one stolen base. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March of 2024.

Childress wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Braylon Williams, who went 2-for-4 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Williams hit this season. Another was Reagan Patterson, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Seymour hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in six consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, A.C. Reynolds narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Jefferson County 6-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rockets.

Seymour's victory bumped their record up to 14-11. As for A.C. Reynolds, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
