Football Recap: Haddonfield's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Haddonfield was the 21-8 winner over Pleasantville when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldawgs fell just short of the Greyhounds by a score of 6-3 on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bulldawgs came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 86th).

Van Lefakis threw for 107 yards on nine of 17 attempts. Jack McKeever was his top target, picking up 79 receiving yards. On the ground, Brody Leonard rushed for 41 yards.

Haddonfield's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2. As for Pleasantville, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Haddonfield will head out on the road to take on West Deptford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bulldawgs 12.2, the Eagles 7) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Pleasantville, they will host Woodstown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
