Softball Recap: Spring Hill Comes Up Short

Spring Hill extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 4-13 in the process. They took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ouachita Warriors. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

As for Ouachita, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-12. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.0 runs over those games.

For Ouachita's part, they let Gabby Hixon and Tynlee Efird run wild. Hixon got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Efird earned three runs and three stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave Hixon a new career-high. Haley Eudy was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Spring Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ouachita, they will square off against Harmony Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
