It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact McGill-Toolen can now relate to. They received a blow on Wednesday as they fell 56-37 to the Pinson Valley Indians. The Yellowjackets' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

It was another big night for Austin 'Woo' Coner, who went 5-for-10 en route to 19 points along with seven assists and seven boards for Pinson Valley. That's the most assists Coner has posted since back in December of 2024. Jamarcus 'Smoke' Thomas was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds.

McGill-Toolen's defeat dropped their record down to 22-9. As for Pinson Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.

McGill-Toolen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pinson Valley, they will challenge Paul W. Bryant at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Paul W. Bryant sitting on four straight victories and Pinson Valley on nine.
