Volleyball Recap: Addyson Martus Key Part of Team Effort in Broncos Win

North Branch won the last time they faced Armada and things went their way on Saturday too. The Broncos blew past the Tigers 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Broncos.

North Branch got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Addyson Martus out in front who had eight aces. Those eight aces gave Martus a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Haley Henry, who had 14 digs and one assist.

They weren't the only good servers: North Branch was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in six consecutive matches.

North Branch's win bumped their record up to 30-11. As for Armada, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-26.

North Branch didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Croswell-Lexington on the 25th. As for Armada, they will challenge Grosse Pointe North at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.
