Basketball Recap: Lake Central Falls Short of Crown Point in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lake Central can now relate to. They took a hard 52-36 fall against the Crown Point Bulldogs on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Bulldogs are ranked tenth).

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Noah Enyeart, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 12 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Noah Sabodor, who posted eight points.

Lake Central's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Crown Point, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 21-2.

Lake Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crown Point, they will square off against Portage at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Crown Point will be up against Portage's rather soft defense (which has allowed 49.8 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
