Game recap: Brother Rice High School Football Team defeats Carman-Ainsworth

FLINT, Mich. - the Warriors scored 16 points in the second quarter to secure a big 31-6 victory over Carman-Ainsworth (Flint, Mich.) on Saturday.

Brother Rice scored on a touchdown run by Shon Powell and a touchdown pass by Alex Malzone to Corey Lacanaria in the quarter.

After taking the lead on a field goal by Jason Alessi in the second quarter, BR led 16-0 at the half.

The Bloomfield Hills school expanded its lead to 31 points entering the fourth quarter. The Warriors scored two times in the third, including once on an Malzone touchdown pass to Grant Perry.



Carman-Ainsworth's only touchdown came on a 30-yard run in the fourth quarter.

The defeat comes as a step back for Carman-Ainsworth, who notched a 49-20 victory over Heritage in its previous outing. The loss broke Carman-Ainsworth's two-game winning streak. The win brought Brother Rice's winning streak to three games.
