Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell to the Kinston Vikings 12-6. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Pam Pack couldn't quite close it out.

A big part of the victory came down to the chemistry between Tyler Jones and his top target Tyreek Copper. Jones threw for 195 yards and a touchdown while Copper picked up 127 receiving yards and a touchdown. Copper showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 60 yards.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Kinston, the win also got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington will venture away from home to take on Pamlico County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kinston, they will head out to face off against South Lenoir at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kinston is facing South Lenoir at the right time seeing as South Lenoir is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
