Softball Recap: Elba Tigers vs. Houston County Lions
Elba stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They never let the Houston County Lions onto the board and left with a 16-0 victory. Elba's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Houston County's batters probably weren't too happy with Jadyn Caldwell, who pitched a no hitter and racked up six Ks (she gave up no walks).
At the plate, Ana Caldwell was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run, five RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Keelie Moseley, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Elba's win bumped their record up to 9-3-1. As for Houston County, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.
Elba is on the road again on Friday to play Andalusia at 5:30 p.m. As for Houston County, they will take on Abbeville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Houston County is facing Abbeville at the right time seeing as Abbeville is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
