Baseball Game Preview: Summerville Green Wave vs. Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes

For the second straight game, Summerville will face off against Ashley Ridge. The Green Wave will head out on the road to square off against the Swamp Foxes at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Summerville's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Ashley Ridge's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Summerville took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past Ashley Ridge 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Green Wave have posted since March 1st.

For Ashley Ridge's part, Noah Seguer was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. What's more, Seguer gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in February.

Summerville moved to 11-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Ashley Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
