Softball Recap: Park Crossing Thunderbirds vs. Spanish Fort Toros

Park Crossing lost against Spanish Fort back in February of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Park Crossing Thunderbirds lost 16-1 to the Spanish Fort Toros. Park Crossing has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Spanish Fort's part, Jayla Harris made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Harris has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive pitching appearances. Harris was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Allyson Boullon, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with a home run and three RBI. Ella Grace Nobles was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

Park Crossing's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Spanish Fort, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 32-14-1 record this season.
