Baseball Recap: Pell City Comes Up Short

Pell City came into this matchup off a tough seven-run defeat last Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Piedmont Bulldogs by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Panthers have suffered since March 6th.

Pell City's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-11. As for Piedmont, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-12.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Pell City will challenge Huffman at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Piedmont, they will face off against Gordo at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
