Football Game Preview: Coastal Academy Stingrays vs. Vincent Memorial Scots

The Coastal Academy Stingrays will challenge the Vincent Memorial Scots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Vincent Memorial took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Coastal Academy, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Coastal Academy needed a bit of extra time to put away Classical Academy. They snuck past the Caimans with a 20-14 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Stingrays.

Nolan White had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 121 yards and one score on only 13 carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 76 yards.

White was just one part of a punishing run game: Coastal Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 237 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Classical Academy only rushed for 138.

Meanwhile, Vincent Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 17-13 heartbreaker at the hands of Bonita Vista.

Vincent Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Coastal Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
