Softball Game Preview: Sanger West Hornets vs. Selma Bears

Sanger West's tournament run continued when they took on Tulare Union on Saturday. The Hornets fell just short of the Tribe by a score of 5-3.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Selma was a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They fell 5-2 to Shafter. The Bears' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Selma saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabriela Pena, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Selma's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7-1. As for Sanger West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8-2 record this season.
