Mundelein extended their winning streak  to three  on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 22-10 in the process. They came within a single  run of losing the streak, but they secured  a   1-0 W against the Stevenson Patriots. Surprisingly, this marked the Mustangs' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
 Stevenson's batters probably weren't too happy with  Sophia Zepeda, who pitched a no hitter  and racked up eight Ks (she gave up six walks). Zepeda has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in four consecutive appearances.
As for Stevenson, their loss  ended  a  12-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 28-4. Having soared to a lofty ten  runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 On Stevenson's side,  Ava Potempa spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on one hit and racked up seven Ks.
Mundelein will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Patriots: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
