Recap: Gridley Bulldogs vs. Dixon Rams
On Friday, Gridley wrapped up 2023 with a 61-47 victory over Dixon. Given Gridley's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while Dixon is ranked 1011th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Aaron Kullar was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with nine rebounds. The contest was his 15th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Travus Boyd, who scored 11 points along with eight assists.
Gridley has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Dixon, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Gridley won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Foothill at 8:00 p.m. on December 30, 2023. Averaging 67.6 so far this season, Foothill's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Gridley better be ready for a challenge. Dixon won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Sonoma Valley at 2:00 p.m. on December 30, 2023. Sonoma Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Dixon likes a good challenge.
