Soccer Recap: Layton Christian Academy Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Layton Christian Academy fought the good fight in their overtime match against Tooele on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Buffaloes by a score of 3-2. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Layton Christian Academy came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked sixth, while Tooele are ranked 64th).

Bento Vieira and Guilherme Marques scored both of Layton Christian Academy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Layton Christian Academy's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2. As for Tooele, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
