Abington Heights strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Western Wayne Wildcats. The Comets were shut out 1-0 the last time they took on the Wildcats, so the Comets were just returning the favor.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-10, 25-21.

Abington Heights' offense was headlined by Hilde Temblador and Abigail Macdonald, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Brielle Wentz and her 14 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Abington Heights' victory bumped their record up to 23-0. As for Western Wayne, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Abington Heights is set to challenge their familiar foe Susquehanna at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Western Wayne will face off against rival Mountain View at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
