While Piedmont put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Mt. Eden. The Piedmont Highlanders blew past the Mt. Eden Monarchs, posting a 35-0 victory at home. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Highlanders just coasted through the last quarter.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Piedmont to victory, but perhaps none more so than Markos Lagios, who rushed for 44 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 208 yards and two touchdowns on only 19 passes. Sam Shelby was Lagios' top target, picking up 202 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Piedmont now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Mt. Eden, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Piedmont has the luxury of staying home for another week and will welcome Encinal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mt. Eden, they will face off against Tennyson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
