Basketball Recap: North Community Comes Up Short

North Community lost a heartbreaker to Minneapolis South when they met back in January, and they left with a heavy heart again on Wednesday. The North Community Polars were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 85-84 to the Minneapolis South Tigers. The Polars have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

North Community's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Minneapolis South, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Community is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Apple Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Minneapolis South, they will challenge Benilde-St. Margaret's at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Benilde-St. Margaret's will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Minneapolis South surely won't give up without a fight.
