Soccer Recap: Freeman Victorious

Freeman took a five-goal loss the last time they faced off against Sealy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Golden Eagles narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Tigers 2-1.

Gabriel Colmenares was the driving force of Freeman's attack as he scored both of Freeman's goals, bringing his season total up to eight goals.

Freeman is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Sealy, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 5-8-1.

Coincidentally, Freeman and Sealy will both be playing Navasota the next time they take the pitch. The Tigers will host the Rattlers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Golden Eagles will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
