Breck Slaughter made a splash, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). Considering she played a big game the last time she faced off against Labette County last Tuesday, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her seventh in a row with one or fewer walks. On the year, Slaughter has been strong no matter where she plays.
