Football Recap: Trumann Comes Up Short

Trumann played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 35-6 defeat at the hands of the Walnut Ridge Bobcats. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Jace Blake was a one-man wrecking crew For Walnut Ridge. as he rushed for 121 yards and three TDs on only nine carries. Those 121 rushing yards gave Blake a new career-high.

This is the second loss in a row for Trumann and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Walnut Ridge, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Trumann will head out to take on Harrisburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Walnut Ridge, they will welcome Earle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
