Basketball Recap: Southern Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tri County, Southern was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They pulled ahead with a 42-41 photo finish over the Deshler Dragons. The win was some much needed relief for the Raiders as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Southern's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Deshler, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southern will head out to challenge Pawnee City at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Deshler, they will head out on the road to square off against Heartland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
