Soccer Recap: Godinez Fundamental Takes a Loss

Godinez Fundamental was the 2-0 winner over Tustin when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Godinez Fundamental Grizzlies fell just short of the Tustin Tillers by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Grizzlies came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 169th, while the Tillers are ranked 910th).

Diego Sandoval and Armando Puente scored both of Godinez Fundamental's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Godinez Fundamental has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-6-4 record this season. As for Tustin, they moved to 3-17-1 with that victory, which also ended their ten-game losing streak.

As of now, neither Godinez Fundamental nor Tustin have any future games scheduled.
