Basketball Recap: Tri City Prep Takes Down BASIS - Peoria in a Playoff Battle

Tri City Prep had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They strolled past BASIS - Peoria with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 34-19.

Despite the loss, BASIS - Peoria still got an impressive performance from Kaci Faber, who posted nine points. That was a full 47.4% of BASIS - Peoria's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.

Tri City Prep has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.7 points over those games. As for BASIS - Peoria, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.

Coming up, Tri City Prep will square off against Skyline - Gila River at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Skyline - Gila River will roll in looking for their 19th straight victory, something Tri City Prep surely won't give up without a fight. BASIS - Peoria does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
