Belleview Christian will head into Friday's matchup out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They came up short against Golden View Classical Academy, falling 49-25. The Bruins haven't had much luck with the Sentinels recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite their loss, Belleview Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Faith Rosiere, who posted four points and 21 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Rosiere is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tara Polson, who posted seven points along with 12 boards and four steals.
Even though they lost, Belleview Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Denver Waldorf came up short against Union Colony Prep on Saturday, falling 47-27. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Like Denver Waldorf, they lost despite seeing results from several players. Mila Ivano led the charge by putting up nine points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Those nine points gave Ivano a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sula Schuyler, who had seven points in addition to 12 rebounds and three steals.
Denver Waldorf's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Belleview Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Belleview Christian has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 32.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Denver Waldorf struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.8 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
