Volleyball Recap: Central Crossing Comes Up Short

Central Crossing was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Grove City Greyhounds. The Comets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Greyhounds from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-17, 13-25, 25-22.

Tessa Cavey paced Central Crossing's offense, picking up six kills. Cavey got some help from Alexis Rose-Payne and her 20 assists. Rose-Payne was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Central Crossing's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Grove City, their win ended a ten-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-12.

Central Crossing wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Lincoln on the 25th. As for Grove City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against New Albany on the 25th.
