Strasburg is 0-10 against Sterling since April of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Indians will look to defend their home field against the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.
Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Strasburg turned things around against Denver West on Saturday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Cowboys. The Indians not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1st (when they won 18-6).

Strasburg let Gabe Smith and Aiden Bongard run wild. Smith went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Bongard went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Bongard is becoming a predictor of Strasburg's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 3-12 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of RJ Weaver, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Strasburg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Denver West only managed six hits.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sterling). They put the hurt on Arvada with a sharp 15-5 victory on Monday. The win was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on three straight.
Robbie Carrasco and Memphis Dempcy were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Carrasco tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Dempcy pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Carrasco has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. At bat, Carrasco went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while Dempcy went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI. Those three runs gave Dempcy a new career-high.
In other batting news, Ethan Felzien was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024. Ein Denning was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Strasburg's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Sterling, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Strasburg has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Sterling struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Strasburg might still be hurting after the 13-3 defeat they got from Sterling in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Indians have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
