Briar Woods proved they can win big on Sunday (they won by five) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They never let the Riverside Ram get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 1-0 victory on May 1st.

Briar Woods' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four matches. As for Riverside, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6-3.

Looking ahead, Briar Woods will take on Independence in a tournament on Tuesday. Independence will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something Briar Woods surely won't give up without a fight. Riverside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
