Softball Recap: Whitefish Bay Comes Up Short

Whitefish Bay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Slinger Owls, falling 20-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Owls this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-5 back in April.

Whitefish Bay saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jane Wallace, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Whitefish Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Slinger, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Whitefish Bay will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Homestead at 4:45 p.m. As for Slinger, they will head out to challenge Pewaukee at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Owls' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
