Football Game Preview: Wetumka vs. Maud

Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps national rankings, Maud should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They take on Wetumka at 7:30 PM. Maud are limping into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Maud came into their this week averaging 30 points per game, but Maud fell well short of that average, and it cost them. They took a serious blow against Wilson last Friday, falling 6-54.

Meanwhile, Wetumka came into their this week averaging 38.5 points per game, but Wetumka fell well short of that average, and it cost them. They took a hard 6-26 fall against Keota. Wetumka's low-scoring loss was the unsatisfying follow-up to their high-scoring outing the contest before.

With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the win. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
