Softball Recap: Dakota Ridge Eagles vs. Standley Lake Gators
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Castle View, Dakota Ridge was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Standley Lake Gators 9-8. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.
Avery Andrews made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Andrews was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs, a triple, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Madison Dzialo was excellent, going 2-for-5 with three RBI and a double. Another player making a difference was Anessa Peterson, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
