It was a good run, but West Jordan unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the Cyprus Pirates. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

While West Jordan had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 16-25, 25-21, 25-22.

Addison Leon was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 11 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.

West Jordan's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-4. As for Cyprus, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-12.

West Jordan will venture away from home to face off against Kearns at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kearns is coming into the matchup with four straight victories at home, so West Jordan will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Cyprus, they will welcome Granger at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cyprus is facing Granger at the right time seeing as Granger is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
