The home team had won the previous seven meetings between Lynden Christian and Ferndale, and Lynden Christian kept the tradition alive. The Lyncs skirted past the Golden Eagles 2-1. Even though Lynden Christian got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Gunnar Parriera was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

The win got Lynden Christian back to even at 6-6-2. As for Ferndale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lynden Christian will take on Squalicum at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Squalicum will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Lynden Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ferndale, they will challenge Lynden at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
