Basketball Game Preview: Klein Collins Tigers vs. Klein Forest Eagles

Klein Collins has gone 10-0 against Klein Forest recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Klein Collins Tigers will be playing at home against the Klein Forest Eagles at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Klein Collins has nine straight wins, Klein Forest has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Tuesday, Klein Collins strolled past Klein Cain with points to spare, taking the game 43-28. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Hurricanes are ranked 690th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Klein Collins found their leader in freshman Hailey Neal, who went 8 for 15 en route to 18 points and seven boards. That's the most rebounds Neal has posted since back in November of 2024. Christen Campbell was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.

Klein Collins smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Klein Forest suffered their closest loss since January 9, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Klein Cain by a score of 46-44.

Klein Collins' victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-6. As for Klein Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-19.

Klein Collins beat Klein Forest 54-43 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Does Klein Collins have another victory up their sleeve, or will Klein Forest turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
