Basketball Recap: Jefferson County Comes Up Short

Jefferson County lost against Washington County back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Jefferson County Warriors took a blow against the Washington County Golden Hawks, falling 71-40. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Washington County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aiden Watts out in front who went 5 of 6 en route to 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zion Cordy, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 14 points.

Jefferson County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Washington County, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.

Jefferson County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-40 loss against Dublin on the 28th. As for Washington County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 68-63 defeat against East Laurens on the 28th.
