Baseball Game Preview: Norristown Eagles vs. Upper Perkiomen Indians

Norristown is 2-7 against Upper Perkiomen since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Eagles will take on the Indians at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Norristown's last matchup with Perkiomen Valley could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Eagles came up short against the Vikings, falling 11-3.

Norristown saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Logan, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That RBI was Logan's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Upper Perkiomen suffered their closest loss since April 17, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Spring-Ford by a score of 3-1. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Liam Weiss was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits.

Upper Perkiomen's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Norristown, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.

Norristown might still be hurting after the 8-1 defeat they got from Upper Perkiomen in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
