If Santa Cruz Valley wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Gilbert Classical Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Martina Adsara Criscuolo. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Dust Devils on Wednesday for which the team can thank Adsara Criscuolo, who had six aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17, 25-7.

Gilbert Classical Academy's record now sits at 5-1. As for Santa Cruz Valley, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Gilbert Classical Academy will venture away from home to square off against San Carlos at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Santa Cruz Valley, they will take on Andrada Polytechnic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
