Recap: Mize Bulldogs vs. Collins Tigers
After flying high against Discovery Christian last Saturday, the Mize Bulldogs came back down to earth. Mize was beaten by Collins 77-43 on Tuesday. Mize has struggled against Collins recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Jaylen Willingham, who dropped a triple-double on 22 points, ten assists, and ten steals for Collins. Willingham is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Latreyveon Lowe was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Mize has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Collins, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-4.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Heidelberg the next time they take the court. Collins will host Heidelberg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Mize will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
