Baseball Recap: Jim Ned Comes Up Short

Jim Ned extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 17-6 in the process. They lost 18-4 to the Wall Hawks. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Indians, who until this contest were averaging 3.52 runs allowed.

Brady Wallis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

As for Wall, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. Considering they have won 17 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

On Wall's side, Hagyn Barbee and Caleb Braden did most of the damage at the plate: Barbee went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple, while Braden went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits Barbee has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Gunnar Dillard, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

While Jim Ned had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
