Volleyball Recap: Millennium Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Millennium managed to slip by Horizon the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Huskies on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered against the Huskies since November 13, 2021.

Millennium took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17, 29-27.

Essence Gilmer paced Millennium's offense, picking up 18 kills. Gilmer got some help from Cassidy Armstrong and her 29 assists. Kaitlyn Freeman controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Isabelle (Isa) Mcilroy was nothing short of spectacular for Horizon: she had 17 digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Mcilroy a new career-high.

Millennium's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Horizon, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Millennium has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Verrado on the 10th. As for Horizon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Pinnacle on the 10th.
