Basketball Game Preview: Scottsdale Preparatory Academy Spartans vs. Camp Verde Cowboys

The Scottsdale Preparatory Academy Spartans will challenge the Camp Verde Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Scottsdale Preparatory Academy will head into Monday's matchup hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 42) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged Phoenix Christian out 51-48.

Meanwhile, Camp Verde entered their tilt with Rancho Solano Prep on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They snuck past the Mustangs with a 55-51 victory.

Camp Verde's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-11. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.6 points per game. As for Scottsdale Preparatory Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 12-13.

Scottsdale Preparatory Academy suffered a grim 56-33 defeat to Camp Verde when the teams last played back in February of 2020. Can Scottsdale Preparatory Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
