Softball Game Preview: The Colony Cougars vs. Highland Park Scots

The Colony Cougars will challenge the Highland Park Scots at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Highland Park took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on The Colony, who comes in off a win.

The Colony is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 19-2 margin over Newman Smith on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Highland Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 23-0 to Wakeland.

The Colony's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Highland Park, their loss dropped their record down to 6-15.

The Colony skirted past Highland Park 3-2 when the teams last played back in March. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Scots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
